Among the most popular destinations are the Amazon Rainforest, beaches and dunes in the Northeast Region, the Pantanal in the Center-West Region, beaches at Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina, cultural tourism in Minas Gerais and business trips to Sao Paulo city.
When to go:
The climate is mostly tropical. It has good, hot and humid weather almost all year round. The seasons are inverted with regard to Europe, as the country is in the southern hemisphere. Summer begins in December and finishes in March. At this time, the temperatures vary between 30 and 40 C. In winter, the thermometer reads from 15 to 25 C in Rio. In Salvador, the winter and summer temperatures are very close. There is slight rainfall from June to August. If you choose Amazonia, the best time to visit is from June to July.
